What Is Recycled Paint?

Transition has a high hiding power thanks to its recycled pigment. By using this product, you can go from a dark to a light colour in fewer coats of regular Fusion Mineral Paint.  Transition was previously known as Concealer and before that as Colour Blocker.

Fusion Mineral Paint is the leading brand for mineral paint in Canada and US. It offers a wide range of colors and finishes, including Transition that can turn from a dark to a light color in fewer coats than just regular paint.

Fusion Transition - Recycled Paint

So What Is Transition?

Using recycled pigments, Transition doesn’t have the same adherence or durability as Fusion Mineral Paint, but it is half the price. In addition, it is NOT a primer, doesn’t seal against tannin or resin bleeding through, and should only be used on surfaces that already have been prepared.

If bleeding through is a concern, use Zinsser BIN shellac-based primer. Zinsser BIN primer is made with shellac-based technology, which creates a protective layer on the surface of the wood, reducing the amount of bleeding.

How is Transition Paint Made?

Fusion uses leftover pigments from their water treatment facility in the production of paint. Utilizing these pigments rather than letting them go to waste is the most responsible, eco-conscious thing to do.

This paint is then reconstituted to make usable paint. That means that the paint molecules are making their way through the liquid and smearing back together to form a new layer of paint. This paint is then reconstituted to make usable paint

How To Use Transition

Using Transition between two layers of Fusion Paint improves results. Transition should only be applied once. Perfect for lightening dark wood.

A neutral light grey will always be the default color for each batch, but shades will vary according to production. You will not only save time by using this product, but you will also save money.

Is Transition A Paint Color Unto Itself?

This paint is not recommended for usage on its own because it does not provide the same level of adhesion and protection as our high-quality Fusion Mineral Paint.

Why use Fusion Mineral’s Transition Paint?
